WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced voluntary recalls of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of product: Okie Dokie Alligator Football Pajama Set
Units: About 41,300
Retailer: J.C. Penney Corporation, of Plano, Texas
Hazard: The heat-sealed patches on the front of the garment can detach, posing a possible choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: There has been one report of a patch detaching. No injuries reported.

Units: About 2,700
Importer/Distributor: Petit Bateau, of Millburn, N.J.
Hazard: These robes fail to meet the children's sleepwear flammability standards, posing a risk of burn injury to children due to the possible ignition of the garment.

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service today warned taxpayers of an e-mail-based scheme that attempts to trick taxpayers into revealing personal information such as social security numbers, driver’s license information and bank and credit card numbers.
In this ploy, unsuspecting consumers receive an e-mail, claiming they are under investigation for tax fraud and are subject to prosecution. The e-mail informs recipients they can “help” the investigation by providing “real” information and directs them to an official-looking Web site, http://deptreas.org/irs/7634//, where detailed personal information must be provided to dispute the charge.

Hazard: The spiral section of the rattle can come apart, releasing small balls inside. This can pose a choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received one report of the spiral section of the toy coming apart. No injuries have been reported.
